My name is Austin Johnson. I was born and raised in Sandy, Utah, and am a proud graduate of Jordan High School. Despite having a “Beet Digger” for a mascot, I enjoyed my time there and made a lot of good memories and great friends. I moved several times before I graduated, but always made the commute to attend the same High School. Under the direction of dedicated and caring teachers, I developed a great love for music and writing. Though it may seem unrelated, I have chosen to pursue a degree in Engineering, and have found a surprising number of opportunities to apply the lessons I learned in the other subjects that I am passionate about to my current studies. I recently transferred from Snow College with my Associates Degree to continue my education here in Cedar City. I am attending SUU in pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Technology, and am hoping to finish my schooling and begin my career in St. George, UT in the next few years. I have always enjoyed solving the challenging puzzles and problems that engineering presents, and I hope to be able to support my family doing something that I enjoy.
